This is the final release issued by the Manchester Police Department regarding the disappearance of two year old Zoey Rose Guerrero Pena. ~Publius
MANCHESTER, NH- On Friday, February 03, 2017, at approximately 3:30 a.m., Manchester Police responded to 75 W. Mitchell Street to investigate the report of a missing toddler. On arrival, police met with adult residents inside who reported that a 2 year-old child was missing from the home. The initial investigation indicated the child wandered off from the home.
Police initiated an extensive search of the residence, as well as the surrounding neighborhood. Additional resources from New Hampshire State Police, Manchester Fire Department, New Hampshire Fish and Game and Nashua Police assisted in the search.
Zoey Rose Guerrero Pena was located at a nearby residence around 9:15 a.m. this morning. The female resident of 703 Brown Avenue woke up and noticed Zoey inside of her apartment, so she immediately contacted the officers who were outside of her apartment conducting a door to door search. It appears Zoey may have wandered out of her residence and entered the Brown Avenue apartment, which is in close proximity to the West Mitchell Street home. Zoey was taken to a nearby hospital as a precautionary measure.
The investigation is ongoing, so there will be no additional information available today. I will send another press release at the conclusion of the investigation, which may take several days.
