Joining the show today was Dr. Steven Gross, Professor of Educational Leadership at Temple University in Philadelphia, a colleague of Sid’s at the New England Society for the Study of Education. Careful thought was given to how educational leadership can be developed and encouraged among teachers, the pool from which the majority of leaders come. Talk also focused on President-Elect Trump’s nomination of Betsy De Vos for Secretary of Education, which is becoming a very controversial topic. Expenditures and time given to putting technology in the hands of our students, at all levels, regardless of the evidence that it has made the education of our young folks any better was a focal point of further discussions.
