Congressman Frank Guinta disagrees with the way the Federal Department of Education has insinuated itself into the local control of schools. He is strongly in favor of local control and does not at all support the methods and manners adopted by the Federal Department of Education in the education of our children. Sid talked about a letter written to the Secretary of Education, John King, by the Vermont State Board of Education expressing their views on the new education law known as “Every Student Succeeds Act.” Vermont’s disapproval of the law is quite clear and should serve as an example for other states.
