Professor Morna McDermott of Towson State University, a leader in the National Opt-Out movement, joined Sid today in a lively discussion about opting out of high-stakes standardized tests, the new Every Student Succeeds Act, technology in classrooms and the Federal Department of Education’s place in the lives of teachers and students. An important discussion revolved around the coming, later this month of the national conference of the National Opt-Out movement to be held in Philadelphia. We hope to have a follow-through of what took place at the national conference.
