Four members of the Pace Career Academy, a charter school doing what traditional high schools are not doing with students who are experiencing particular problems in their lives visited Inside Education and told about their program, goals and involvement with the school. Martin Castle, founder and the schools director was joined by Tom Gilligan, a member of the school board and two students, Haleigh Picard and Zac Come. The students stories were particularly compelling because they were on the verge of leaving their traditional high schools and becoming high-school drop-outs. Pace Career Academy was able to rescue their high school careers and offer them both academics and practical experiences out in the world of work —two beautiful stories!
