In light of injuries suffered by three firefighters in Manchester while rescuing a woman from her porch during a fire on Walnut Street, the Manchester Professional Firefighters Association has renewed complaints that the department is understaffed. Firefighters President Jeff Duval said he’s complained about staffing levels since he took office in two thousand and twelve. He says if the department were properly staffed, the injuries would not have been had as a ladder truck would have responded more readily to the scene, negating the need for the firemen to use a regular ladder to save the trapped woman. We’ll have more on this during the show.
