There’s a crisis brewing in the state of Arizona —- teachers, dissatisfied with what is taking place in the state are willing to give up their jobs rather than stay in place and submit themselves to the unprofessional decisions of state leaders. Serious consequences lie ahead if this exodus continues. Reminder: it could happen in any state. Is this a wake-up call? Parents should not only be aware of the data being collected on their children they should become active and file a “Right To Know” request to see the data collected and find out with whom the information is shared. Ann Marie shared with us the position taken by the New Hampshire legislature with regard to the effort to overturn H.B. 603, the bill that gives parents the right to opt their children out of the high-stakes tests. The vote on the possible overturn has been delayed until September.
