(Hour 2a)
Ward 1 Alderman, and mayoral candidate Joyce Craig, has come out in favor of granting Uber a temporary operating license for the city of Manchester. Listen in
to hear how the licensing issue may actually fall to the state, not the city.
Pat Long, Alderman, ward 3, and an Uber driver, is impressed with the company, and Rich is of the opinion that Uber tracking technology is superior to taxi cabs.
Jon DiPietro calls in with the opinion that Uber’s goal is actually to disrupt the industry, and is “willing to go to war” to break the regulatory strangle hold, and is unwilling to compromise their business model in order to operate.
We end with a discussion of “Rails to Trails” and explore why this may actually impede development in the city, and render some properties unusable.
