(Hour 2a)
This morning we talked politics! The democratic establishment is aligning behind Joyce Craig’s candidacy for Mayor. Between Joyce Craig, Patrick Arnold and Jawed Alibaba things are getting pretty heated.
Alibaba is the newcomer, but he seems eager to get out there and make a name for himself. Some are counting him out, but we think that he may make more waves than is expected.
Everything is shaping up weirdly already, which makes us wonder how things will unfold. Let us know what you think so far.

Don’t forget Glenn Ouellette is also a candidate. Glenn is a fairly well known candidate in the community for his consistent and hard work in community service and his knowledge of city issues that matter to the average voter. Glenn is an experienced past Selectman – Chairman in a community in northern Maine. Glenn is a longtime resident of Manchester and and has been passionately involved serving his community.
Glenn requires honesty and transparency in Government, a fair and equal application of our laws for all citizens, he encourages and helps to promote community participation of all citizens with a keen and watchful eye on corruption and waste in government.
Glenn is vocal to attract and promote diverse businesses to settle in Manchester which brings diverse jobs. As Mayor, Glenn will promote diverse job opportunities for ALL sectors of the population (even jobs for our homeless residents) – a city of ONE. Glenn is a strong promoter of the Arts and Recreation. One of Glenn’s pet peeves as Mayor, is to open Veterans Park restrooms to the people again in a safe and secure manner.
Glenn supports the proper number of police officers to do the job of keeping crime in our community in check. Glenn vows through transparency and the courts to fight corruption and cronyism in our city. Glenn supports the city Spending Cap with the override with 10 votes for emergencies. Glenn makes it his business to understand and monitor the city budget for waste and unethical financial practices. He supports adequately funding our schools and eliminating wasteful spending and prioritizing programs that PARENTS want to see offered in our schools. He also offers a solid plan to getting our roads repaired and paved and KEEPING them in good repair by prioritizing spending. Glenn is in favor of better Academic standards which replaces Common Core Math, English and Science standards with proven and expertly vetted standards such as the pre-2009 Massachusetts Standards with improvements for modernization in proven factual Science.
These are only a few of the issues that Glenn is working on to bring to our city’s government and schools. I’m looking forward to hearing Glenn expound on these topics and more on your show.
