(Hour 3b)
What does Haverhill, MA know that we don’t know? How can they, with a school population twice the size of Timberlane’s, spend half as much on their Special Ed program and have a total budget that’s almost exactly the same?
Also, a “World Language” teacher has had the screws put to her for allegedly questioning the work of Superintendent Earl Metzler’s wife, who was hired by the district under suspect circumstances as a consultant to develop an elementary Spanish language program. It’ll cost taxpayers$300,000 by the time it’s all said and (probably not legally) done. Rich sheds some light on the bureaucracy’s role in all of this and the legal process a multi year contract has to go through to be approved, which includes the voters who have been entirely bypassed on this one..
