Derry Town Council Chairman Tom Cardon has called a special meeting so councilors can share their “non-binding” thoughts of where to cut the budget in advance of next Tuesday’s vote. Rich had one thing to say about this: Suicide Mission. Find out why and, in the process, find out how budget processes are supposed to work and why what’s happening in Derry, bad as it is, is really par for the course. Has Cardon caved in to union pressure or is this just a misguided attempt to move things along? Either way, if he thinks it will quiet things down between then and the budget votes, he’s SORELY mistaken in our Humble Host’s never to be humble opinion.
