(Hour 3a) How does one deal with a bully? According to your Humble Host you “bloody his nose.” After his appearance on Girard at Large, town councilor Mark Osborne of Derry is under attack. The fight between unions and citizens ensues and we can’t help but wonder if this could spark change in other places. It’s important for one to rise up because if you don’t, then your taxes will!

This is incredibly misguided. Both of our local news sources have been incredibly critical of certain members of the council. The actual news story in Derry is pretty remarkable. The news story (to anyone who has listened to someone other than Councilor Osborne) is that the taxpayers DON’T want the cuts! YES THAT IS NEWS! Taxpayers have vocally supported keeping the services. That is the controversy. I am not a firefighter or a police officer. I am not related to anyone in either of those departments. I stand to gain nothing financially from the contracts with these departments. I in fact am the taxpayer that they are “protecting.” There is even a facebook page for citizens concerned with these cuts. No one (except for the same 20 people in town who complain about everything) wants these cuts. People who are streaming your program in regards to this issue are doing so for reasons opposite to your thinking.
