The manner in which in which parts of high-stakes tests were evaluated were exposed through the statements and experiences of those who had participated in doing them over a number of years.  Their statements were read.  Such evaluations practices rise to the level of being scandalous — a situation that parents have little or no information.  With the help of Susan Ohanian, Sid did a dissection of a sample of the Smarter Balanced high-stakes English Language Arts 4th grade test and exposed the intellectual and pedagogical shortcomings of the exam.
