The report below was just released identifying the numerous problems with the Common Core Math Standards. Specifically what math concepts are missing, delayed, etc.
It’s important for residents in New Hampshire to remember that “four” appointed members of the NH Board of Education rushed through and voted to adopt the Common Core Standards back in 2010 when no one was aware of this latest reform effort.
It’s also important to note who in New Hampshire supports the flawed and developmentally inappropriate Math Standards in our public schools. People like Governor Maggie Hassan, the NH Board of Education, the Business Industry Association (BIA) and some members of the State House and Senate.
One has to wonder why prominent politicians and members of the business community would continue to support math standards that fail to offer our students top quality academic standards that would put them on a path to literacy in this important subject.
