(Hour 1a, b, Hour 2a, Hour 3a) Our “man, that was a long meeting to sit through” host was troubled by many of the statements made at last night’s School Board meeting.
Among them were comments by a Manchester teacher who claimed that Common Core math isn’t being used in our high schools. News to us!
Rich also commented on the “disingenuous” David Ryan and on Common Core advocate Dr. Scott Marion of the federally funded NCIEA, who inadvertently let the cat out of the bag.

Ann Marie Banfield called in to comment about public comments made last night by Natalie Brankin and Patrice Benard.
(Hour 1b) 06-10-2014 Hour 1b
Ann Marie Banfield called in again. She explained why she is so skeptical of the standards process we’ve witnessed. Why did the public have to push back against Common Core before being invited into the process?

(Hour 2a) 06-10-2014 Hour 2a
Rich still can’t believe what was said last night by Dr. Scott Marion. He questioned Marion’s loyalty to standards that are unproven and untested.
Our humble host also wondered why David Ryan’s old boss, Dr. Altheal Sheaff was called in to “unpack” the Common Core standards.
Wouldn’t experts Dr. Sandra Stotsky and Dr. James Milgram have been better choices if Manchester was truly seeking superior standards?
