The irony is that the Priority and Focus schools were determined based upon student performance on NECAP assessments, which have been publicly acknowledged to be ineffective and misleading. There is absolutely NO evidence that these students need to REMEDIATED at additional cost to the district or State. However, the federal government mandates REMEDIATION, so the NH Department of Education enforces this expenditure.
