We introduce a new sponsor to underline a point about a particular individual in Manchester politics. On a serious note, we take direct aim at flagrant untruths told by Alderman at-Large Joe Kelly Levasseur and Ward 12 Alderman Keith Hirschman regarding the state’s Right to Know Law and the lawsuit Levasseur filed to block the release of public documents. We also blow the whistle on the legally incorrect actions of the City Solicitor’s Office with respect to our Right to Know requests and those of former Ward 10 Alderman Phil Greazzo, among others.
Speaking of “blowing the whistle,” we bring to light a major rezoning request made by the developers who own the Hackett Hill Research Park. This is not a good proposal which seems not to be going through the proper process. Did Levasseur also disclose non-public information with respect to the sale of the former Manchester Police Station and is there really a “demand” for college student housing in the city? Levasseur leaking information tries to make the case there is to bolster a proposal for the Pearl Street Parking Lot. Our information from the same meeting is the polar opposite.
We also touch on the proposed school budget.
