(Hour 3a) Rich reported on last night’s School Board meeting. Patrice Benard was one of the speakers at the meeting and she is a vocal critic of Common Core and a vocal advocate of “going back to the future” to 1930’s standards. (… read more…) Why? Because the standards are superior. Just like current standards being used in Finland and Signapore (written in clear english, not “eduspeak”) that Manchester Educrats agree should be written into the Academic Standards. These standards are being added awfully late in the game. Was Common Core the top priority all along? Will we simply end up with Common Core 2.0 at the end of the standards development process?
