The New Hampshire Fisher Cats 5K Road Race on Thanksgiving morning will affect downtown traffic from 8am to 11am.
The race will leave the right field corner of the Fisher Cats field and head north through the Millyard via Canal St and the return south through Commercial St. South bound traffic will not be allowed on Commercial St or on Canal St from Brook St to Granite St during the race. North / South bound traffic can use Elm St – or any street east of Elm St – as alternatives to Canal St and Commercial St.
Since the race is crossing Granite St twice it will cause traffic to be diverted from traveling east or west on Granite St. PLEASE use an alternative bridge if you need to cross the Merrimack River. The Bridge St Bridge, the Amoskeag Bridge, the Queen City Bridge, and Rte 293 can all be used as viable alternatives in crossing the Merrimack River.
If you have business in the Millyard during the time of the race please be patient and gain the attention of one of the Detail Officers to explain your situation. We will assist you if possible – giving priority to the safety of the race participants.
This race is hosted by Millennium Running and the NH Fisher Cats and benefits the New Hampshire’s Hospital for Children.
