For reasons Girard at Large has reported on for the past two weeks, much of it exclusively, American Ambulance of New England has sent a letter to Manchester Mayor Ted Gatsas requesting that Board of Mayor and Aldermen reject the ambulance service proposal offered by competitor AMR.In the letter, the attorney for AANE cites the process we’ve questioned on a daily basis and points out where AMR’s failed to meet the ambulance RFPs guidelines. It also cites a 1993 case the city lost for irregularities it allowed in its bid process over an ambulance contract bid.
Girard at Large will add this letter and event to the investigative article it will publish within the next 36 hours. All of what’s in this letter had been discovered by our investigation, but there’s more and we will bring it all to light soon.
