Surrounded by a crowd of 350 people including members of his family, friends, alderman, school board members, elected officials, volunteers and supporters at Saint George Greek Orthodox Church in Manchester, Mayor Gatsas called for unity. “We are not Republicans, Democrats, or Independents. We are Americans, and that is what it’s about. It’s not about partisan politics its about sitting down, finding common ground and getting things done. That’s what the people want, that’s what they deserve, and that’s what I am commited to,”added Gatsas.
Ted Gatsas was first elected in 2009 as Mayor of Manchester and is currently seeking his third-term. “During my tenure as Mayor we have accomplished so much. We have improved our municipal infrastructure, brough new economic development to the city, worked to create positive partnerships for our city schools and succeeded in making the Manchester School of Technology a full-time option for city students. I want to continue to build on this foundation and that is why I am running for Mayor of Manchester,” announced Gatsas.
Gatsas concluded his remarks by calling on the crowd to help him put up signs, stuff envelopes, make phone calls, and do whatever they can to help bring him third term Mayoral victory this November.
