Woman Awakes to Unknown Intruder in Her Home
MANCHESTER, NH- On Monday, May 20, 2013, at about 11:20 PM, Manchester Police responded to a Merrimack Street address for a report of a burglary in progress. On arrival, Ofc. Jonathan Makara met with a 66 year old woman who told him she had just chased an unknown man out of her home.
According to the woman, she was asleep in a first floor bedroom off the kitchen when she was awoken by a bright light. She then saw the man standing in her kitchen and yelled at him to get out of her house. The intruder fled out the rear door, running east in the alley to an awaiting vehicle, which then drove east in the alley from the address.
The woman could not describe the vehicle, but told Ofc. Makara that the intruder was a white male, about twenty years old, 5’10” to 6’00” tall with a slim build and brown hair in abuzz cut. He was last seen wearing a red t-shirt and dark pants.
