Coins and Cigarettes Taken from Parked Van
MANCHESTER, NH- On Tuesday, April 30, 2013, at about 9:45 AM, Manchester Police Officer Lucas Hobbs responded to Tri-State Amusements at 80 S. Commercial Street for a report of a theft. On arrival, he met with the business owner and an employee who reported that someone had stolen some items out of one their vans, parked in the lot at that location.
According to the employee, he had arrived at work in that van earlier in the morning and went into the business. When the employee returned to the vehicle a while later, he noticed that items were missing from the van. A review of surveillance video revealed that at about 8:50 AM, and unknown man approached the van, opening the rear hatch and removing a cardboard box containing 2 cartons of Marlboro cigarettes. He then opened the front passenger door and removed 4 white canvas bags containing assorted coins totaling over $1,000.00. The suspect placed the coins into the card board box and carried it off on foot.
The suspect is described as a male subject wearing a dark grey hooded sweatshirt and lighter colored pants. He also had on a full-brim hat.
