Manchester’s paraprofessionals’ union, representing more than 100 of the school district’s 330 teacher assistants, soundly rejected the tentative agreement that was negotiated with Mayor Ted Gatsas and given the green light by the school board.
The paraprofessional’s bargaining unit sank the tentative agreement that would have restructure their health benefits by a vote of 54 to 22. 75% of their union membership voted. They join the Manchester Education Association and the Association of Manchester Principals in rejecting the proposal.
