MANCHESTER, N.H.- On Sunday, February 05, 2012 at about 3:40 PM, Manchester Police responded to the Stop and Shop at 777 S. Willow Street for a report of a robbery. On arrival, they met with store personnel, who reported that an unknown man had approached the service desk and displayed a note demanding cash.
The suspect’s typed note offered detailed instructions, advising the clerk that he was in possession of a firearm and warning them to comply. The clerk produced some cash, placing it into a plastic Stop and Shop bag, and handed it to the suspect who fled the store on foot. However, moments later, the suspect returned to the counter area, confronting the clerks and retrieving the note he had left behind.
The suspect is described as a white male with light skin and freckles, about 5’8” tall with a heavy or thick build. He was last seen wearing an open, long sleeve blue shirt over a maroon t-shirt. He wore light colored pants and wore a brown knit hat. He had a gauze type patch over his right eye.
