Cop Block is a decentralized project supported by a diverse group of individuals united by their shared goals of police accountability, education of individual rights and the dissemination of effective tactics to utilize while filming police.
We seek to highlight the double standard that some grant to those with badges. By documenting police actions whether they are illegal, immoral or just a waste of time and resources then calling the police stations involved (ideally while recording and then later sharing your conversation), we can work together to bring about transparency and have a real impact.

In addition to this direct pressure on police departments we want to be an educational resource on institutional changes that would curtail the common rights-violations and unaccountability today by those with badges and a place to showcase different techniques, viewpoints and courses of action.
Ademo Freeman – Founder
Location: New Hampshire
Ademo is the founding member of CopBlock.org, which he started due to his personal experiences with law enforcement. He’s a victim of the war on drugs, twice. Ademo hopes to provide people an outlet, support base and informational site to help others highlight police abuses. Through his contributions to CB.org Ademo hopes folks will realize that the problem with police isn’t the individuals themselves, but rather the institution. Allowing the government to have a monopoly on protection is the problem and competition is the answer.
Ademo has been involved with other projects such as Motorhome Diaries, Liberty On Tour and Free Keene.

Ademo Indicted – 21yrs for Transparency
Ademo is facing 21 years in a cage for seeking transparency & for pointing-out double-standards.
He asked why Manchester West HS student Frank Harrington, whose head was slammed off a lunchroom table, was suspended for 11 days while Manch PD liaison officer Darren Murphy, who did the slamming, was on the job being paid, the next.

When I was much younger, in elementary school, I was taught that to be found guilty of a crime you had to be guilty both of the letter of the law and the spirit of the law.
Then came Zero Tolerance and out went the idea of the Spirit of the Law.
