A homeowner concerned about the city tax burden
Lisa Gravel is earning her win the hard way – one vote at a time. Lisa Gravel is a homeowner and like most of us doesn’t enjoy seeing the bill go up. As an Alderman she will approach every vote through the eyes of the taxpayer and promises to be a good steward of the tax dollars entrusted to her.
In her own words:
Why am I running? I am a home owner and a tax payer in the city. I am tired of every budget cycle being turned into a game of “we will have to lay off teachers, cops and firemen if we don’t raise your taxes.” It shouldn’t be an either or proposition. I will be a good steward of the taxpayers money and work to keep spending under control.
Biography:
Lisa Gravel has been a letter carrier with the US Postal service since 1998. She became a Ward 7 homeowner in 2000 which lead her to becoming an activist representing the taxpayers in Ward 7 and the city of Manchester.
