(Hour 1b) Rich displayed discontent with Erika Connors’ effort to require that Manchester School Board members make an appointment before arriving at the school. He talked about the apparent cause of it and shared about some teacher feedback that he received.
He also shared about the Smarter Balanced Assessment scores and told us about the Manchester School Board’s meeting regarding it. He discussed whether or not the assessment is an accurate representation of what the children know.
Host’s note: After listening to this archive, Ward 9 Committeeman Arthur Beaudry contacted Girard at Large to correct what we’d been told about his entry into the buildings. Beaudry stated he always signs in to register as a visitor when he goes to buildings, always wears the name tag given to board members and welcomes administrators to accompany him on his tours of the building if available. We thank Beaudry for making us aware that the information we received was not correct.
