We provide the latest update from the Manchester Police Department about tomorrow night’s scheduled Heroin Forum as received from the department. ~PublisManchester Police Chief Nick Willard will be hosting a heroin forum to discuss and inform those adversely affected by the opiate addiction that has decimated not only our community, but the entire Northeast. The forum is OPEN TO ALL and proudly sponsored by the Radisson Hotel and Coca-Cola Northern New England. The event will be held in the Salon Ballroom, off of Pleasant Street and will be facilitated by Scott Spradling of the Spradling Group. It will begin promptly at 5:00 p.m. and end at 7:00 p.m.
Chief Willard will be one of seven panel members to answer the many questions you may have. Other panel members include; Manchester Fire Chief James Burkush , Chris Stawasz, General Manager of American Medical Response-NH/ME; Timothy Soucy, MPH, REHS Manchester Health Department; Mary Forsythe-Taber, Executive Director, Makin’ It Happen Coalition for Resilient Youth; Melissa Crews, Hope For New Hampshire Recovery and Wayne Dutch, PharmD.
Members of the Manchester Police Department’s command staff recently attended a similar forum hosted by the Merrimack Police Department and were impressed with the dialogue amongst the attendees and the panel members. The forum is meant for all people to attend, regardless of your knowledge, addiction level, recovery status or if you have loved ones you are concerned for. The panel members bring a wealth or experience, wisdom and insight, so you can learn about this family shattering epidemic affecting thousands of people everyday throughout the country.
