It’s Election Day in New Hampshire and we know what that means. Tomorrow is the unofficial start of the two thousand sixteen First in the Nation Presidential Primary. Hopefully, we’ll get some kind of break from it all. I mean, c’mon, outside groups have spent some twenty four million dollars just in the U S Senate race alone, with pro-Scott Brown forces spending ten million and pro-Jeanne Shaheen spending fourteen. While polling places in many of the towns surrounding Manchester open at seven this morning, the Queen City’s polls are open now and will stay open until seven tonight. Most polling places close at seven across the region, but some do stay open until eight. Merrimack PD gives access instructions to Merrimack High.
A special note for voters in Merrimack! Your police department has put out a notice to use O’Gara Drive to enter Merrimack High School and and exit via McElwain Street to safely facilitate traffic in and out of the high school, which is the town’s only voting place. Your polls will be open from seven to seven today. They said please in their alert, so we urge your cooperation.
Launches Voter Integrity Project
In addition to voters and the usual gaggle of campaign volunteers holding signs for their chosen candidate, there will be a lot of other people at the polls observing the election. After the Attorney General’s Office issued a memorandum to local election officials across the state saying that under no circumstances, that’s a quote, are they allowed to prevent any individual who has signed a challenged voter affidavit from voting, the Coalition of New Hampshire Taxpayers launched the Voter Integrity Project, asking for citizens who wish to deter voter fraud to go to polls and simply observe and document what happens and report their findings to them. Naile: Piling up evidence of fraud, state indifference to it.
In an interview yesterday, Coalition Chairman Ed Naile also disclosed that he’d been in contact with Judicial Watch, a nationally known watchdog on voter fraud and other issues, and that they have chosen New Hampshire as one of four states they will send their legal eagles to to monitor the elections. C N H T itself has targeted several polling places to observe.
Foster: “under no circumstances”
Meanwhile the Attorney General’s Office, which has been known to self generate complaints against polling places displaying the law regarding the state’s feckless voter identification requests, has not only banned posters displaying the law, but will also have members of its staff randomly inspecting polling places throughout the day. They’ve even set up a hotline for voters to inquire about their voting rights and file complaints about their polling place. NH voter in Goffstown?
We recommend you use it every time you see someone exit a vehicle with out of state plates, or a bus from a local college, or a bus with out of state plates, of people wearing clothing from out of state unions, and things like that at your polling place to complain about non-resident voters. The phone line will be staffed from seven this morning until eight tonight, which means folks in places like Manchester, where the polls open at six are out of luck for an entire hour of voting, not that there’s anything wrong with that. Havenstein: Race a toss up
This all comes against a backdrop of unexpectedly competitive races across the state. Polls have the race for governor between incumbent Democrat Margaret Wood Hassan and Republican challenger Walt Havenstein surprisingly too close to call. We all know about the battle for the U S Senate where, depending on the day and the poll, either Republican Challenger Scott Brown or incumbent Democratic Senator Barack Obama, I’m sorry, Jeanne Shaheen, Health Care Queen, is on top by the narrowest of margins. Even polling in the Second Congressional District has Republican challenger State Rep. Marilinda Garcia closing the gap with incumbent Democrat Ann McLane Kuster, whose busy life is too expensive to pay property taxes on her vacation home. Polls in the First District give former Congressman Frank Guinta a narrow edge over incumbent Democrat Carol Shameless Porter in the rubber match between the two. All polling data shows that the undecideds are breaking heavily toward the Republican candidates. The question is whether it’s too little too late or just enough in the nick of time. I say to you, if you’re a resident of this state who wants change, that you get to your polling place and vote, if for no other reason than to prevent out of staters from determining who will represent us in Washington and in Concord.

Then why do we have pictures being sent to us from around the state of Democrat stickers being placed on college dorm room doors urging students to vote Democrat and saying if you don’t have a photo ID quote “…don’t worry.
