Turn over a new leaf this spring and volunteer with Parks & Rec!
Spring is here! Our favorite time of year! If you’re anything like us, you’ve been gazing out the window longing to put those new golf clubs to use, or improve your mile time with that new pair of sneakers. Either way, Parks & Rec is working hard to prepare for the spring season! We’re receiving a lot of calls from groups and individuals about volunteering in our parks to assist with the cleanup. We want you to know that there are many ways to volunteer in our Parks, and spring is a great time to get started. Take a look below to determine what best suits your schedule and give us a ring to get started!
If you (or your group):
Can commit one day per month,
Consider the Adopt-A-Site program. Our Adopt-A-Site program allows residents and organizations to lend a hand in their neighborhood park by raking, weeding, picking up litter, reporting vandalism and broken equipment, spreading mulch and if you’re feeling particularly springy, planting some annuals in our flower beds. Sign up today!
Can commit just one day,
Consider joining in one of the many upcoming clean-up days in our parks. Just show up in your waterproof boots, clothes you no longer care about, and your gardening gloves and get ready to get dirty! See our list of organized cleanups below and pick one (or more) that suits your schedule.
Have a particular project in mind,
Contact us! We’d love to hear about it!
