(Hour 2a, b) Police Chief David Mara made headlines recently when he requested 42 extra Police Officers in the City of Manchester. Mara explained how he arrived at that number and MPD’s strategy to get out in front of crime as opposed to only being able to be reactive. Response time is the most common complaint for the Police, and Mara believes that increasing the number of patrols will go a long way in detecting and deterring crime in our urban center.
