Girard at-Large is proud to bring back beloved Meteorologist, Al Kaprielian to the center stage of southern NH.
For over 25 years, this highly-respected, award-winning meteorologist has graced the television and radio airwaves, delivering his highly-accurate weather forecasts to the citizens of New Hampshire.
From 1983 to 2009, Al served as Chief Meteorologist for WZMY-TV/WNDS-TV in Derry, NH where he established and built its highly-successful Meteorology Department, broadcasting to 2 million homes in Northern New England. His enthusiastic and exuberant style in delivering his forecasts has resulted in an unwaveringly loyal fan base that continues to this day.
Through his continued use of emerging technology, including continuously updated graphics, computer imaging, weather modeling and tracking techniques, Al has kept pace with the latest scientific methodologies to provide the most precise weather forecasting possible. His accurate, on-the-money forecasts in the highly unpredictable New England region have even won him praise by both The Boston Globe and The Nashua Telegraph for weather-predicting accuracy.
Al’s deep commitment to his community is demonstrated through his numerous community service programs, charity events and fundraisers. Additionally, he continues to bring his passion for meteorology to the young people across the state as an educator in schools, through sharing his knowledge of science and the weather.
