As for Timberlane voting to eliminate all surveys, this is not true. The superintendent decided he would not conduct non-academic surveys. After Ms. Steenson left the board, the school board followed that decision up with a change to policy to state that non-academic surveys won’t be conducted – YET Timberlane continues to conduct the Tripod survey throughout the district which includes some intrusive and non-academic questions. Ms. Steenson supported funding in the Timberlane budget for the Tripod survey over multiple years. She never motioned to remove this funding or discontinue the Tripod survey.
For a flavor of the kind of responsiveness Ms. Steenson will be providing her constituents, please see a series of emails Ms. Steenson wrote to now State Representative Chris True when he questioned the Chairman over school district budget issues. https://timberlaneandsandown.wordpress.com/2014/06/16/citizen-writes-sb-chair-continued/
