49 NY Principals were big fans of Common Core. NY Principal Carol Burris was a such a fan, she co-wrote a book on how to implement Common Core. Now they’ve experienced it first hand. Burris writes that Common Core’s been “operationalized” testing and the test company’s profiting selling test prep materials.
The “49” say the tests are unbelievably confusing, complicated, stressful and don’t assess the standards.
Is it possible our own supportive local educators similarly hopefully deceived?
Common Core’s already having an impact. Doesn’t appear to be what’s promised.
